Hello once again!
Last week, Kindergarten learned how to mix the primary colors to make green, purple, and orange and continued to practice the skills we have been learning to use for drawing lines and shapes. In first grade, we began to apply all of the skills that we have learned to re-creating a work of art created by Wassily Kandinsky called Color Study Squares with Concentric Circles. This week, in Kindergarten we will continue exploring the significance of color in art by considering the distinction between warm and cool colors and how they affect the 'mood' of a work of art. In first grade, we will continue working on Kandinsky's Color Study Squares with Concentric Circles while paying close attention to how we can apply all of the skills we have already learned to re-creating this painting.
